Nick Bartko Legacy Scholarship
The Nick Bartko Legacy Scholarship was established in April 2022 by contributions from Dennis and Robin Bartko in memory of their son, UMBC student Nick Bartko. The Nick Bartko Legacy Scholarship aims to support students who exemplify the spirit of UMBC Retriever values like their son, Nick. This scholarship would support students in their sophomore, junior, or senior year who provide leadership in serving others and exhibit the UMBC values of relationships, community, and service.
To be eligible for the Nick Bartko Legacy Scholarship funds, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Degree-seeking, undergraduate student
- Class standing of Sophomore, Junior, or Senior
- No judicial record
- Noteworthy involvement with or contributions to UMBC, UMBC students, or one or more community activities or agencies
- Demonstrated personal behaviors that promote caring, concern and compassion for others.
