Moshope Oyeyemi Memorial Scholarship
The Moshope Oyeyemi Memorial Scholarship Endowment was established in 2025 to honor, in perpetuity, the vibrant legacy, enduring impact, and memory of Moshope Oyeyemi, a proud alumnus of UMBC, by his loving parents, Kunle and Lola Oyeyemi. Moshope approached life with wonder, passion, and a sense of purpose. His GRAND VISIONS were marked by an eagerness to learn, a joyful spirit, and a deep commitment to making others smile. He had creativity and imagination beyond his years. His captivating, charming, illuminating smiles showed in his love for music, dancing, golf, rugby, museums, painting, travel, cooking, and, most importantly, time with loved ones.
The purpose of the Fund is to provide scholarships for undergraduate student(s) with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and who are majoring in Information Systems. Preference will be given to a student who demonstrates a commitment to serving underprivileged
populations through volunteer experiences, work, or future career plans.
