John W. Jeffries Dean's List Award

This scholarship is awarded to sophomore, junior, or senior undergraduates who have been on the Dean’s List for three consecutive semesters and who have not benefited from a specialty scholarship program. One scholarship will be given to a student in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (Humanities major), College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (Social Sciences major), College of Engineering and Information Technology, College of Natural and Mathematical Sciences, and one scholarship for a student in The Erickson School, Individualized Study Program, or Social Work for a total of five awards.

The John W. Jeffries Dean’s List Award was established in July 2013 by an anonymous donor to honor John Jeffries, Dean Emeritus, College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, for his dedication to UMBC students and his commitment to seeing them excel.
