Mechanical Engineering S-STEM Scholarship

The Mechanical Engineering Department is pleased to announce an exciting and unique opportunity for undergraduate students. The Department was awarded three S-STEM grants funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) in the past years (2010, 2014, and 2018). The goal of the current S-STEM program is to provide scholarships and educational opportunities to twenty economically disadvantaged and academically talented undergraduate students in the Mechanical Engineering program at UMBC. It promotes full-time enrollment and elevates the scholastic achievements of students in Mechanical Engineering. The program combines science, engineering, technology and medicine to improve retention and expand career prospects.
