Joseph F. Mulligan Award in Physics

This research award is awarded to undergraduate and graduate student, physics post-doc, or faculty members who are interested in researching some topic on the history of physics. The award recipient will present his/her results at the Mulligan Memorial Lecture in the spring semester of the year following the announcement of the award.

The Joseph F. Mulligan Award in Physics was established in April 2005 by Eleanor W. Mulligan in memory of her husband, Joseph F. Mulligan, a former Professor of Physics at UMBC who had a desire to encourage young people to become interested in physics.
